The Animal Rescue Site had a cute quote on its Facebook page today by Henry Ward Beecher: "The dog was created especially for children. He is the god of frolic."(According to Wikipedia, Beecher might have been a bit frolicsome himself.)
Our dog Friday has always been great with Bitty, but the quote reminded me of last Thursday when they played fetch across our living room. Bitty has watched me enough to know to throw the ball, but then he runs after it, trailing after Friday. He was so upset when she would beat him to it! They wrestled over it a few times, as well.
Had a low-key day finishing up my canvas panels and working on my huge cross-stitch project. The weather was so pretty, and Bitty used his sidewalk chalk to decorate the back of the house after lunch. As much as we like the city, it was nice to stay in.
